AOC-SASLP-MV8 BIOS settings

Featured Replies

Hi everyone

I am trying to find the optimal settings for AOC-SASLP-MV8

Unfortunately, their manual is very uninformative.

  • Does anyone know if INT 13h should be disabled or enabled?
  • What does exactly staggered spinup means? Does it interfere in any way with spinup groups? What does choosing 1 or 8 as a setting for number of devices per group entail?

I am also asking this because i have noticed some drives being kept in spin up mode and trying to pinpoint the problem

Also, it seems that i cannot put the server to sleep when i use the card because it creates problems when waking up. But i think this last problem cannot be fixed...

Staggered spinup is a method of delaying the spinup of multiple drives to help alleviate taxing the power supply.

Choosing 1 or 8, I would try each and see.

I believe it means maximum number of drives to spin up at once.

It should not interfere with unRAID's concept of spin up groups.

and init 13h is boot support, you can leave that disabled, or just whatever its currentl yon if you have no problems.
