newsleecher for docker

Featured Replies

Is there a version of newsleecher in docker? I found one that I thought might work, but it did not.

Help would be greatly appreciated.

I don' think the recent Newsleecher releases are Wine compatible iirc, and the ones on docker hub look "dodgy" (pirated) much earlier versions.

Ah ok.  I for one never touch anything pirated.

I'm curious - have you tried sabnzbd or nzbget?

I used to be a newsleecher user before switching to Linux, and apart from the inbuilt search engine, I can't think of any features newsleecher has that the dockers above don't have.

I've been using Newsleecher for a long time, but if there are equal alternatives, I'm willing to give them a try.

I'd definitely have a look at nzbget and sabnzbd in that order

OK, thanks-

Also, is one of the versions better than the other?

I don't think so, but others might disagree.  There are VPN versions which i think unnecessary if your provider is already encrypted.

Other than that I think it's personal choice - I personally go for the linuxserver Dockers as they as well maintained and also sticking to one 'brand' makes debugging a bit easier.
