December 18, 20178 yr Hi there. Rather stupid question actually. I have today 1 2TB drive as parity, and 3 2TB drives as disk 1, 2 and 3. I have now bought two new drives where i want one to be the parity and one to be the data disk (intend to buy more disks as i get more money;)) But one thing I didnt thought of. How do I know which one is which disks?
December 18, 20178 yr Based upon the serial number listed on the drive vs what's listed within the Main tab. Since those S/Ns aren't usually visible from the back of the drive, I always stick a label to every drive with the last 4 characters of its S/N for easy identification.

Ok, so I need to shut down and check the sn on each drive. Well. doesnt sound to difficult and I'll use a label in the future:) Edited December 18, 20178 yr by mrvilla
