I tried Firefox, Chrome, Edge & Explorer, all the same with adblocks or not, although I'm using pfSense. but I dont know if that will affect it as logs are internal. I tried it from my phone is there is no issue it opened in a second so it isn't unRAID it self. something to do with my windows that is blocking it. Problem solved, I have to find the issue myself. EDIT: Found the problem, it was the stupid useless antivirus. Thanks for the help @bonienl. Edited December 24, 20178 yr by PSYCHOPATHiO
December 25, 20178 yr Installed 17b a couple of days ago and all seemed well, but all my W10 VMs just crashed/hung at the same time while I was away: - vm1 was downloading updates and looks like it got stuck on the restarting screen - vm2 was rebooting, but got stuck on restarting screen - vm3 was on, but screen went dead - in gui, VM tab wouldn't load but was showing details just for vm3 as paused. Had to reboot (doing now) Think i'll have to go back to rc14 again highlander-diagnostics-20171225-0944.zip

December 26, 20178 yr Limiting the ram won't help with that. It's writing directly to the ram like any other path so it see's it as a data drive. I started using a unassigned SSD for transcoding as I had this happen twice.Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

December 26, 20178 yr Is this new behavior after 6.2.4? Curious as there is no way to limit the transcode buffer....?Within plex it's possible to set a buffer ahead limit for the transcode by time. And you can also set the max number of transcodes. I am using a plex pass and installing the beta versions though.Sent from my LG-H870 using Tapatalk

I am using a plex pass and installing the beta versions though. Sent from my LG-H870 using Tapatalk The throttle buffer is currently set to 60 seconds. And this was using 1 transcode. So I don't believe that is the issue. It just keeps the transcoded data instead of purging it at a set max. ----------- edit following this recommendation: I set to 1, 2 accordingly. I have been running 2 transcodes for about 30 minutes without any plex crash. Ram usage is increasing, but at such a slow rate (.1% every half minute to one and a half minutes or so, starting from a baseline of 60% usage after starting 2 vm's and pfsense ), I believe it may make it an entire movie before filling. It is also suggested later in the thread that for servers with "higher" ram amounts, that a lower background caching rate be set as default, and I would agree. As more ram becomes commonplace, this simple switch from a previous stable version to this will cause many issues like mine in regular users, and in new users as well. December 27, 20178 yr When i first used unraid on version 5.0.x I had plex transcode to /tmp when i first set it up as i was still not too familiar with unraid yet. It would crash my whole server within 30 minutes. Ever since then i always set the transcode files to be in the app folder, which was the array up till early this year when i moved all my apps to my cache disk. No crash ever since ( at least in relation to this lol)What im trying to say ia this doesnt really seem like a new issue....Sent from my LG-H990 using Tapatalk

As I mentioned previously, this was not an issue with this server running 6.2.4. So, new issue for me. I ended up getting 2 more plex crashes this evening. moved transcoding to a spinning unassigned devices disk to keep it going for now. is this expected behavior using the plex docker now in 6.4?

Same here, new behavior when the system runs low on available ram it's crashing. Had this setup since v6 release and no problems until I think about 6.4 rc15 or so. Docker engine running out of system memory shouldn't be bringing down the entire array.

December 28, 20178 yr Well I don't think that the Tehuti drivers being used are the right ones as the built in linux drivers only support the older sfp+ cards and I was hoping to use the acooks/tn40xx-driver. More specifically I need one of the v0.3.6.15 branches to be used so I can get support for TN9710P. As it is I keep getting segfaults due to it recognizing the hardware but being unable to start it.

December 28, 20178 yr Suddenly my eth0 port went down and i lost all connection to my server. Network switch shows no activity. When I power cycle and start up again I can connect and login but when I start my array it instantly goes down again. I ran it in troubleshoot mode to get some logs. Not sure what is causing this problem. December 28, 20178 yr I've got another W10 VM (LEGO) that's frozen when trying to restart and I can't get into the GUI to force stop it. Is there anyway to force stop it via the command line? I'm trying to avoid rebooting when this happens I can't stop all VMs via the GUI as this will kill my pfsense VM highlander-diagnostics-20171228-1654.zip
