December 21, 20178 yr Been having a lot of UNRAID freezes including ssh, meaning I have had to hard reboot many many times over the past 2 weeks. Just found this in the supermicro event log: Event ID Time Stamp Sensor Name Sensor Type Description 1 2017/11/19 07:28:08 OEM Memory Correctable Memory ECC @ DIMMF1(CPU2) - Asserted 2 2017/11/19 09:24:47 OEM Memory Correctable Memory ECC @ DIMMF1(CPU2) - Asserted This would be around the time of the start of my crashes which have since become more frequent. However, it appears to have only happened the one time, and is labeled as "Correctable". Is this bad RAM, or is this just what it looks like when ECC does its job? December 21, 20178 yr Those were corrected errors, so the server should continue working normally, but the dimm should be replaced, if there were uncorrectable errors with ECC RAM the system would halt to avoid data corruption, not sure if those are logged though.
