Gamestream help!

Featured Replies

Hello everyone, i am having issues with nvidia gamestreaming and i hope the helpful unraid community are able to help!

I will try my best to be as helpful with the information i provide as possible.

Brief rundown of Specs:

2 Windows 10 VM's for gaming and general use.

Intel 7900x 10 core CPU with 24GB RAM- Both VM's with 4 Core/8 Thread. VM1 with 12GB RAM. VM2 with 6GB RAM. All cores paired with relevant thread.

Both VM's on SSD's outside of array. CPU core isolated and pinned. 2TB hdd storage split for both VM's.

VM1 With GTX 1080TI passsthrough using Vbios rom. VM2 with 1060 6GB.

Now the issue im facing, is i have a Nvidia Shield TV in the next room which i usualy would stream games too before the unraid build, however since running unraid, i can longer do so.

I have all latest drivers for nvidia and i have even gone as far as using DDU and reinstalling, no help. I have gone into services however and noticed that the nvidia gamestream service is nowhere to be found, and was unable to find much on google to help that, i booted back into my old SSD with my untouched win10 installation on and gamestreaming was working fine with same drivers.

So now i am at a bit of a loss and wondering if this is a unraid issue or is atleast known and someone has fixed before.

PS: Unraid version 6.3.5 is currently installed, after downgrading from 6.4rc17 as nvidia driver installations was causeing server crashes.

Thankyou in advance!

Nevermind! Not an unraid issue, windows firewall blocked nvidias gamestreaming service for some reason, i will leave thread here incase someone gets into the same pickle i was in.
