JM2005
I have had my Norco 4220 case for many years just sitting on a small stand. I had to move it to another room recently and was wondering what type of mounting are you guys using? I am limited on space in small closet that has great AC going to it to keep it cool, this closet has my cable modem, pfsense router and 24 port router as well. Do you have it rack mounted? How do you have your mounted? Thanks, JM2005 Quote Link to comment
1812
I typically have my servers mounted in a half rack with locking doors/sides. Right now, due to some housework, I have them sitting on industrial shelves. It ain't fancy but works. Quote Link to comment
JM2005
I should have posted this in another forum! Sorry about that. Moderator please move it to the Hardware forum. Thank you. Quote Link to comment
BobPhoenix
I bought this open post rack for my Norco's https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16816215003 Naturally Newegg change their numbers. Mine was a 22u rack not a 15u like the link but it is from same manufacturer just 22 instead of 15 and looks the same Edited December 29, 2017 by BobPhoenix Quote Link to comment
TUMS
It seems a lot of people have trouble racking norcos. I think it's an issue with once you get the rails on it makes it too wide in the rack. I used to have a norco 4224 but never tried to rack it. I think a lot of people end up just sticking them on shelves. I had mine on a folding table in the basement for a long time. Currently i'm running 2x supermicro sc846 now with 42u APC netshelter sx rack. Quote Link to comment
