Boot into unraid from PCI-E USB Controller

Featured Replies

Hey there,

I'm about to take the plunge and convert my desktop into a UNRAID server.

I intend to create a pass-through Windows 10 VM for my daily driver and hoping to utilise all my on-board USB controllers for this purpose.

I was thinking of slapping in a dedicated PCI-E USB controller specifically for UNRAID to use, has anyone had any success doing this ? From the research I have done, it seems that not many PCI-E USB controllers support USB boot up...

I'm also open to any other suggestions, I'll appreciate any advice I can receive.
