December 31, 20178 yr I have two small drives that I want to upgrade to larger models. Can I replace both of them in one power down and have parity rebuild them both on reboot, or is it best to do one drive at a time, rebuild it then do the second drive on another power down? Thanks in advance for any advice.

December 31, 20178 yr Community Expert Parity doesn't have the data of any of your disks. Parity just has parity data which allows the data from a disk to be calculated from all of the other disks. If you only have one parity disk, then it isn't possible to rebuild 2 data disks, since the data from one of those disks is required to rebuild the other. See this wiki for a better understanding. Everything about the unRAID parity array makes a lot more sense if you understand how parity works. https://wiki.lime-technology.com/UnRAID_6/Overview#Parity-Protected_Array
