Two Problems I'm Having

Featured Replies

Hello All

I'm having a blast with Unraid, but I just ran into my first 2 problems.

First,  my unassigned drives aren't being seen correctly,  after one is mounted. I have an external USB drive cage, with 4 HDs in it, and I want to copy some data off, not add them to the array. When I plug it in, all four drives are seen, and if I mount one, its ok, but if I mount others, they are not correctly seen (size shows as all 0's), and then I can't unmount them (it lets me hit the unmount button, but they after it refreshes, its still mounted). I thought this was related to the USB cage, so I installed new drives (3 HDs and 1 SSD), and it does the same thing, even when directly connected to an LSI SAS card.

While working on that, I have since added the new SSD as a second cache drive. I ran preclear on it, and then assigned it as a cache drive.  I'm now getting a warning "cache pool BTRFS too many profiles". I found this as an answer:

  but I don't understand it :(

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!  Thanks for an awesome OS!

Thanks for the reply, but I think I've got it.

The second problem was related to having 2 cache drives of different sizes, in a raid 1. I separated the drives, and the issue went away.

The first issue I was able to work around by mounting one drive, copying off the data, unmounting, and then mounting the next.

Again, thanks!
