Are M.2 drives as cache drives supported by Unraid

 

Looking at replacing my Motherboard to one of the following

Gigabyte Z270N-WIFI LGA1151 mITX

ASUS ROG Strix H270I Gaming LGA1151 mITX

 

using the M.2 for cache leaving all SATA connectors for Data and Parity in a Fractal Design Node 304 Case

    Note that you need to get a PCIe M.2 device, using a SATA M.2 will leave you with only 5 SATA ports

    Thats ok i have a IBM M1015 card so ill use that for the Data Drives and the motherboard onboard sata for Parity
