January 2, 20188 yr My unraid server froze at least several times since I built it 2 weeks ago. The behavior is kinda of random, but all happened when idle(doing nothing except with some vms and dockers on). When froze, the server lost connection. I can do nothing remotely to it. Have to go onsite to manually reboot it. I have installed FCP plugin and turned on troubleshooting mode. Attached are the diagnostics and FCP tail result file I copied from my flash drive. Can someone give me some advice what might go wrong with my server? FYI, I am currently doing memtest (I boot into memtest using the one comes with unraid) as I searched and saw some posts suggest doing so. But as the post says it is very likely that the test won't give me any errors. I have a wild guess about the possible cause of the freeze. My system has 5 ram sticks, 16gb/each. 4 out of 5 are the same model, the other one is not (still same brand but different model). Could that be the problem? FYI, I have run Ubuntu 16.04 on the same system for at least 6 months without any problem. Thank you in advance. Edited February 21, 20188 yr by thupig
