You may not add new disk(s) and also remove existing disk(s)

Featured Replies

Hello All,

I had a USB drive mounted as a share (this is how I copied the data to unraid). Afterward, I opened the casing and removed the drive and added to my unraid server along with 2 other drives. I get the error:

"You may not add new disk(s) and also remove existing disk(s)"

All disks are accounted for with the exception of the USB drive that I removed. Its showing as a missing disk. I hit the "remove" button next to the missing disk but still cannot add any other disks. How can I work around this?

Post your diagnostics, but the drive was probably identified differently when it was connected by USB.
