Slow Docker Drop Down Menu

Featured Replies

Hey everyone,

I tried to search the forum and didn't find a post discussing this issue (hopefully my search-fu isn't terrible lol).

If I leave my server's web gui up, after awhile (say 10 minutes), it will take up to a few seconds in order to load the drop down menu for any docker. This has been happening since v6.3 (my first experience with unRAID), occurs in any web browser (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Internet Explorer, Opera), and any system I have tried it on.

Any ideas of what might be causing it? I tend to leave my web gui up for long periods and end up having to close and reopen it for the drop down menu to speed up again.

If any adblocker running then whitelist the GUI. And/or any anti-vrius running, exclude the GUI.

I thought it might be that too but some of the computers do not have AV on them, nor adblock and the same situation occurs. I wonder if Windows Defender has something in it that might attribute to that.

Try to clear the cache of your browser. I've seen weird things with Chrome and only clearing the cache did resolve them.

Btw. I do a lot of testing/developing and have the GUI open for very long times, but don't experience these slow downs.

Thinking about it more... it might be a memory issue. Browsers tend to eat memory when opened. Use the Windows Task manager to check this.

I fully disabled Windows Defender to see if that was contributing to the issue as it is the common factor between all systems I've connected to the web gui on (Windows 10 Pro machines).

I'm monitoring it now to see if it happens again. I'll check the memory of the browser when/if it does.

Thanks for the help! :)

Looks like disabling Windows Defender didn’t help. When it happened again, the memory usage wasn’t abnormal as far as I could tell.

It’s taking a good 3 seconds for the drop down menu to appear when this happens
