mctavish01
Long story short, moved hardware around. Had a VM running and now with new hardware, VM was not showing up. Checked in settings and VM Manager and it says Your hardware does not have Intel VT-x or AMD-V capability. This is required to create VMs in KVM. Click here to see the unRAID Wiki for more information . But according to Intel, it does.https://ark.intel.com/products/75123/Intel-Core-i7-4770K-Processor-8M-Cache-up-to-3_90-GHz Anyone have any ideas as to what is going on? I just did a lot of work and the VM was the main thing I did the switch for. Link to comment
Hoopster
Have you checked the BIOS to make sure VT-x is enabled? The chip has the capability, but, it can be disabled in the BIOS. I had to specifically enable VT-x the last time I switched processors. Link to comment
BillClinton
You say new hardware, does this mean new mobo? If so double check your bios to check if all the nessacery settings are turned on. Usual first place to look. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Link to comment
mctavish01
My God I hope it's that easy. Never crossed my mind after all the work. @BillClintonit was my old desktop hardware. Link to comment
mctavish01
Well after just a stupid crazy day at work and stuff at home looks like yes I just needed to enable in bios but, now it just says that my vm is stopped and I can’t start it again? Same with docker, neither is running and they will not resume. Ideas? Link to comment
tjb_altf4
Did you restart your array after you restarted your machine? Link to comment
mctavish01
Damn you guys are on a roll; taking the array offline and back on fixed that issue. Next issue and hopefully last; looks like my cache ssd with vm stuff on it is no longer listed anywhere anymore. That has me Little worried, any ideas what might have happened there? Link to comment

Failing this next best step is to provide diagnostics. Then someone with more experience then me will be able to provide assistance. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Link to comment
