What’s everyone’s thoughts on the build speed? It’s currently wiriting zeros to the rest of the disk and it’s still slow.

 

 

The drive is an iron wolf 10 tb up to 210mb/s

 

The machine is a hp microserver gen 8.

 

all docker services are disabled at this point.

 

it’s soooooo slow  

Sometimes it slows towards the end, I don't know why, but it should pick up again and you'll be finished before you know it.

Microservers, gen 7 and  8 at least, come with write cache disable in the bios, you need to enable it.

All fixed. Johnnie it was the cache and it’s now building the next drive at 170mb

 

wish I had done that before it built my 10tb lol
