mr_cb7
I have been using unraid for a few months now and I am satisfied with the OS and now I want to purchase a copy of it, but how do I go about upgrading from the free version and still keep my share settings ect? after the upgrade and not mess up my drives? pfp
You will get a file from Limetech. All you need to do is put that file in a specific directory on your flash drive (they include instructions on where and how). Stop the array, reboot, done. Couldn't be any easier. To install the key, save the attached file to your PC and then copy it to the config directory of your Flash. There are two ways to copy the registration key file to the Flash: • If your unRAID Server is currently running, navigate to the flash share under My Network Places, and drag the registration key file into the config directory. Open the Management Utility, Stop the array, and then Reboot. Alternately, • You can plug the Flash into your PC and drag the registration key file into the config directory. Link to comment
