I turned an old P4 system in what is now my Unraid NAS.  The build in NIC on the mobo is a crappy realtek 10/100 adapter so super slow transfer speeds.  It has a free pci express lane available so I bought a new Intel pro 1000 CT NIC.  To install this is it just plug and play or do I need to install a linux driver?

    It's plug and play.  But don't forget to disable the old on-board NIC in the BIOS!
