May 29, 201016 yr I moved my server to a different place of the house, and when i logged in it showed one of the drives with a red circle next to it. So I powered down and checked all the connections, one of them was a bit loose. I've rebooted it now, and it's still showing as disabled What do I do?! Thanks in advance
May 29, 201016 yr First, 4.5.3 has a serious bug whereby ALL the disk drives may show as unformatted when first starting the array. If you see that, do NOT press the format button. Instead, just press "Stop" and then "Start" once more. Since all you had was a loose cable, you can use the "Trust-my-parity" procedure as describe here: http://lime-technology.com/wiki/index.php?title=Make_unRAID_Trust_the_Parity_Drive,_Avoid_Rebuilding_Parity_Unnecessarily You will still have the "Restore" button (it was replaced with the initconfig command in 4.5.4) so you need to follow the WIKI instructions to press it, then issue the /root/mdcmd set invalidslot 99 command, then press "Start" to start the array.
