May 31, 201016 yr UnRAID newbie here! Just built my first server, got everything setup, all my files transferred and its working great. But I have been unable to zip files using the right click > Send to Compressed Zip Folder from Windows Explorer under Vista 64. I don't do it often, but when I upload photos to my website it is easier to send a single zip file rather than having to browse and select files multiple times. Usually I just export the files, then add them to a zip folder and upload the zip folder. Trying to zip them gives me an error that it can not perform the task (I don't recall the exact wording, but can get it if needed). Any ideas? Thanks!
May 31, 201016 yr Yes, try doing a google search with the exact error message it gives you. Also, what are you trying to zip to, a user share or a disk share? If it's a user share, what is the split level? What are the unix directory permissions? What are the unix directory ownership user and group? How do you have the share setup?

I am in a folder under a user share called Photos. The split level of the user share is 1. The actual folder location is //mytower/Photos/Images for website/pool. Sorry I'm not sure what else you are asking for. I tried to zip the same files from my laptop running Windows 7 and it worked fine.
June 2, 201016 yr Do you have user shares marked as read only? Do you have disk shares marked as read only? Are you using basic share setup or do you have users setup for each share?
