iptables support would be nice.

 

The main reason I am looking to use it is for a safepeer style solution when using rtorrent. there are applications like moblock which can complete the same style blocking for bad peer's, but you need iptables.

I have always found those tools to be of questionable benefit.

It's not exactly a mission critical requirement... All the reasons I can think to have it, I can do on my network.

 

ACL Management Interface

ACL Storage systems

ACL NFS exports

etc etc

 

I can do them all on network, but would also be nice to have them inbox.

I never played with it.  I just gave him a link where he can get it from.

 

hosts.deny would probably be a quick solution if all you want is some partial bad seed block lists.

 

not sure how well it scales though
