Where can I find a cord that would connect on the USB  motherboard’s connector (2 x 5 pins) on 1 side, and to connect to the USB stick on the other side?

If that type of cord doesn’t exist, can I make one myself?

If you have an old case with USB ports on the front panel, you can take it apart until you get the USB jacks with their wires detached from the rest of the case.  That's what I did, although I'm sure it's more elegant if you buy a made-for-doing-that solution.  But mine was free, since I had an old case with USB ports on it.
