Suitable PCIE Graphics Cards?

Featured Replies

Hello,

New here! Loving unraid at the moment, currently have a couple of 10TB drives serving the network nicely.

I do want to make use of the VM side of things, however other than the card I have in my main machine my only other card is a 560TI which seems to have a whole host of problems and unraid. What would you suggest as cheapish card that will do the trick as a virtual desktop, youtube, etc.

Thanks!

Well i have a cheap (40€) GeForce 710. It has passive cooling, which was a big plus for me, too.
Seems to work just fine for my Windows 10 VM with full passthrough.
I used VNC for setup and installed drivers after setup was complete, also i switched to Windows RDP for remote usage and killed VNC completely. (needs Windows Auto Login to work without user input)

EDIT: But having no GPU and just using VNC for remote connection worked fine for me, too....

I've got 2x GT 710 and 1x GT730 all working perfectly, with one of the GT 710s in my primary slot.
