June 20, 201016 yr Guys, am I wrong or does this mean I have around 1TB of storage available and if this is the case, why am I getting a message from ViceVersa Pro (which I use for moving and syncing info) that says there's not enough storage available? http://www.extuff.biz/images/unraig-free-storage-june-19-2010.htm Also, is there a way to do like you do in windows explorer? Right click on the DRIVE, chose properties and it tells you how much is left? Thanks George
June 21, 201016 yr Yes it looks like you have that space free. But : - Not all on one drive. - Your cache drive is showing no free space Has the mover script been running ok to move stuff onto your parity protected array? It sounds like it may not be, your cache drive has filled up which has led to the error.
June 21, 201016 yr Author Seems that's not the only problem. I finally decided to try to move some other stuff which worked fine but when I tried to move that same info again, I got the same error. Regardless of that, isn't the cache drive supposed to move info around/empty itself automatically and how do I fix it? Please, explain as if I'm a dumbass 'cause frankly, I am. Thanks George
June 23, 201016 yr Author boof, where do I find the mover script and what do I do with it? THanks George
June 23, 201016 yr The move script is located in : /usr/local/sbin/mover And it should automatically run based on the schedule you gave it on the shares tab of the unraid web management. In that same tab you can enable logging of the mover output and also force it to move with the 'move now' button. Mine is set to tun at 0340 each day, I can't remember if I changed that or if it's the default. Is your unraid server on 24/7? If not it may have been skipped. Each share you have configured also has the 'use cache disk' option, which I'm guessing you have set to yes? If you check /mnt/user/cache from the terminal you can see if you have data on the disk. Like wise you can force the mover script to run from the web management page as above or from the console by running /usr/local/sbin/mover manually.
June 23, 201016 yr Author Well, I didn't build it so I don't have a clue. Let's see if I can find out. I'll be back... Thanks George
June 25, 201016 yr Author Ok, here's the reply from Rajahal and he's right, I had NOT set it up right when I did the share and it IS moving the stuff now. "OK, looked at the thread. My guess is that when you created your DATA share that you forgot to disable the cache drive for that share. Go to the shares page and make sure that cache drive is set to NO for all shares. Then press the MOVE NOW button and wait for it to finish." Thanks for the help and to Rajahal from supporting it from Europe. May he have many beers and get picked up by multiple chicks for this
