Issues with 2 NAS units and AFP mounting

Featured Replies

I have 2 NAS units, (12 drives each)  and am running into difficulty getting all drives on both NAS units to mount Via AFP - Once NAS 1 has a drive1 mounted, I cant mount the drive1 on NAS2 with the same name "drive1". (!) even though its on a different IP. (!!)

So far everything else is working perfectly! Great job, tom! - And all the folks assisting. look foreward to doing same

Any suggestions appreciated.

Also- Could we start a thread just for AFP? or am i searching under the wrong thing....... I think this could be helpful for many others as well as myself. Please point me in the right direction !

OK the plot thickens:

Edited all the drive names for both server keys so they were different. This does not help, still cant mount any of NAS2's drives if all NAS1's drives are mounted. Im completely stumped. Can Anyone suggest anything?

What do you mean, you cannot mount the shares? In OS X you mean?
