Regards it shows: # 1 Extended offline Aborted by host 80% 908 Which to me indicates you might not have disabled the spin-down timer on it, and it aborted when your server asked it to spin down. The short test you ran just prior to it seemed to pass.

Thanks again At the top of your SMART report it shows: Self-test execution status: ( 241) Self-test routine in progress... 10% of test remaining. Total time to complete Offline data collection: (32400) seconds. 32400 seconds equates to roughly 9 hours. Joe L.
July 11, 201015 yr Yes, I see on the report as you indicated of the 32400 sec. unMENU indicated completion of approx. half that time. This morning it indicated a completion at 12:30pm which I requested the report at approx. 1:00pm so I indeed cut it short. I'll run it again tonight to get the complete report. Thanks
July 11, 201015 yr Completed the long test. It looks like not much has changed. Sense your the expert please take a look if you would at the attached log and let me know what you think. Again unMENU indicated roughly 4.5 hours vs. the report indicating 9 hours. I wounder how many other people cut the report short. Thanks 7-11-2010-long.txt
