Parity Sync Error - Please help

Featured Replies

I'm getting parity sync error at different sectors. I have tried various combination of drives to figure out which drive could be the cause.

Following is what I have tried:

10EAVS as parity drive

sync with

1 X 6400AAKS = no error

sync with another

1 X 6400AAKS =  no error

sync with

1 X 10EARS jumpered pin 7-8 = no error

sync with

2 X 6400AAKS = no error

sync with

2 X 6400AAKS

1 X 10EARS = 2 parity sync errors

Currently I am moving all the data from the EARS drive to another EAVS and will perform another sync to see if I still get the same errors.

The time/date for the syslogs they were taken with the following chronological order:

Syslog1

Syslog2

SyslogA

Syslog1:

Jun 19 17:20:09 Tower kernel: md: parity incorrect: 886021824

Jun 19 17:39:25 Tower kernel: md: parity incorrect: 1053897368

Syslog2:

Jun 19 20:44:18 Tower kernel: md: parity incorrect: 329772784

Jun 19 20:55:22 Tower kernel: md: parity incorrect: 408855096

SyslogA:

Jun 22 10:57:41 Tower kernel: md: parity incorrect: 453178536

Jun 22 11:08:56 Tower kernel: md: parity incorrect: 568700976

Does anybody has any insight of what could be the problem or what I should check next?

I have also ran the drives on different controllers but am still getting the same errors when I sync all the drives together.
