Disk 1 often disabled due read errors

Featured Replies

The hard disk is brand new, along with cables and other components so HW issue is not realistic here.

Doesn't matter if copying content or installing dockers, the disk ends up disabled.

Would be really grateful for any advice.

New hardware is more likely to have problems than slightly less new. Google bathtub curve.

Check connections, then get new diagnostics immediately after rebooting. No SMART info for some disks in these diagnostics. Likely a connection issue. Cables should be loose enough so they aren't straining the connections. Also, have you done a memtest?
