Ryzen motherboard that allows USB Controller pass through?

Featured Replies

Does anyone know of a good AMD Motherboard that supports USB Controller pass through? I currently have a ASRock X370 Taichi, but even with Enable PCIe ACS Override enabled, I cannot pass through a USB Controller since none are in their own IOMMU groups. Even passing through a video card was annoying because only one of the PCI slots was able to be passed to a VM.

Sweet! Thanks! Looks like I'll be able to buy that one on Amazon. That looks a whole lot better than mine, even with the PCIe ACS Override setting enabled.

I recently bought as ASRock OC formula X299 motherboard and it seems to have nicely allocated devices to their own groups without ACS override. Still setting it up and haven't tried passthrough yet, but looks promising.

You might report the issue you are having to ASRock. May get them to straighten out the IOMMU groups. Without people reporting it, motherboard companies may not give this any thought.

You might try adjusting some of the USB settings in BIOS. It may sound drastic, but I disabled USB3 on an older AsRock which caused the USB2 controllers to be split out properly.
