Getting Let's Encrypt assigned with EdgeRouter

Featured Replies

So the help text had some command for a USG but not for EdgeRouter series from Ubiquiti, so I tried tinkering with it a bit and found that after setting these options, going away for a few hours (overnight in my case) and trying again it all worked out for me.

Wanted to share for other users if they needed assistance.

This is all under the config tree, and the option is rebind-domain-ok=/unraid.net/ (there's a trailing / at the end that's cut off in the image).

Hope this helps someone!

Nice, you have given a GUI solution for the EdgeRouter. Not everyone knows CLI.

Just an information: the CLI command given for the USG router will work on a EdgeRouter too.

Weird, I had tried it but then it said I had no forwarding nameserver setup and still wouldn't let me get the certificate for some reason, so I just went to the config tree to add it instead of searching around for the command line interface for it, and that's where I added the 8.8.8.8 for Google DNS and IIRC it still didn't even work right away, so I tried a bit later (today) and it immediately gave me the certificate this time :)

Anything else that I should be looking for because I have my EdgeRouter X-SFP setup the same way in your example and UNRaid still fails to bind the DNS.

You might want to try this if you have used any of the wizards beside the Basic Setup one.

Note that I have added eth1 to the listen-on list.  You may have to add any of the ethX ports that you (or a wizard)  have removed from switch0
