I had an incident a couple of days ago detailed in the post linked below where my cache drive filled up and all my dockers got corrupted. 

 

Turns out that my Windows 10 VM also disappeared from the unRaid UI as it no longer shows up on the VM page. 

 

The strange thing however is that the VM is still there and seems to be fully functional and I’m able to remote into the vm using teamviewer.

 

As part of the incident above I had to disable/re-enable Docker but I didn’t touch the VM manager settings. 

 

Does anyone know how I go about getting the VM back into the unRaid GUI?  Spent  a lot of time setting up/tweaking that VM :(

    You likely have a corrupt libvirt.img, if you don't have a backup you'll need to recreate the VM but can point to the old vdisk, as long as the main settings are similar.

    I looked at VM manager libvirt log and you're right, it's full of errors! Any ideas what went/is wrong?

     

    You mentioned creating a new VM and pointing it to the vdisk, do you know how close it needs to be to get it working or what the main settings are?

    It likely got corrupted when the cache was full, for recreating the VM the main settings are the type of bios, type of machine and disk controller.
