unRAID Server Release 4.5.6 Available

Featured Replies

Sorry can't help you fix the problem but I had similar issues with an asus board. Didn't have onboard VGA and other members with same board were running fine. Mine wouldn't boot without a vga card.

I just bought a new motherboard as it was fairly old.

Thank you!

Just for my own stupid curiosity... Why do you want 4.5.6?

Actually, it's for my stupidity. I was updating to 4.7 but forgot to backup my original flash files and when I rebooted after the updated, the 4K change had affected one of my disk sizes and wouldn't mount. hdparm didn't work to solve the HPA problem. Put 4.5.6 back on and it works fine again. I think I'll just wait until I build a new server before updating.

Seatools should be able to remove the HPA from the drive.  It should be simple enough to use, though I have never done it myself.
