I have installed unRaid 4.5.4 in a virtual machine using vmware workstation 7.01.  I have assigned 3 2T drives physically to the machine and it started doing the parity sync.  It has been running for a day and only done 42Megs... please help.

Your issue is with the Virtual machine software and setup you're using.

 

Run unRAID natively to see how it runs.

Roger that... 4MBps in a virtual machine about 52MBps outside...
