July 11, 201015 yr I am new to unraid still learning which set up works for me. Ive been reading bout highwater and seems is best used for media files? could be wrong but thats my understanding of it? so anyways ive copied all my movies to my disk 1 i just added disk 2 i had to copy to disk 1 before i could use disk 2 since i only have a total of 3 hdds right now. so my question is if i have only 260gb left of a 2tb hdd and i just now add a split level how does that affect the files already on disk 1? they just stay as is and the split level is applied from here on out? trust me i am well aware that i could be completely wrong on how highwater and split levels work lol sorry i suck...just learning this stuff obviously...thanks! i want to ask this cuz its been on my mind also... here is m situation. i got 3 hdds (1x2tb parity 2x2tb back ups) on disk1 i have My Movies as a folder then i got each of my movies in their own folder of course. its a mix between .avi in some folders .iso in other folders than video_ts in others. do i want to create seperate folders for each type like iso under my blu ray and .avi under like avi movies or some thing then video_ts under DVDs or is it ok to have them all under My Movies? and im assuming i want them on split level 3? does that seem right? then i have tv>show>season do i want that split level 3? then im also using this to back up like my documents on all my comps but i dont need to access that info only need it there for back ups? so sorry to ask such a newb question this is all just confusing to me. thanks for taking the time (=
