linuxserver/nzbget password change?

Featured Replies

I have been running nzbget from linuxserver/nzbget for a while.  today i went to open the webui and when it prompts me for my username and password, it wont accept it.   I have not changed my username or password so I am not sure what happened.  How can I change my username or password, or reset it to default without having access to the webui?

edit the nzbget.conf file in the appdata folder for it

In and around lines 290 you'll see

ControlUsername=nzbget

# Password which NZBGet server and remote client use.
#
# Set to empty value to disable authorization request.
ControlPassword=tegbzn6789

thanks for the quick response.  whats weird is that the username and password in the conf file is the username and password i was entering.   and now that it has rejected my password a few times, when i try to go to the webui it just takes me to a page that says Error: 404 Not Found
