If you have SSD's in your system, can you please run the following command in a telnet session? What it does is to display the model number of all drives attached to your system. You don't have to prune out non-SSD's, I can use it to verify model string layouts of other drives too The purpose of this task is to add logic to clean up the model number to remove vendor branding from it. For example, Western Digital drives have "WDC" and Hitachi drives have "Hitachi" before the actual model string. Some drives have revisions after which likewise need to be removed. lsblk -ido KNAME | grep sd > /tmp/d.txt && while read line ; do hdparm -I /dev/$line 2>/dev/null | grep Model ; done < /tmp/d.txt && rm /tmp/d.txt (all one line) Thanks! January 25, 20188 yr Author You can also boot Window's boxes from the UNRAID flash drive after putting the command in a model.sh file you can run after booting with the following: #!/bin/bash lsblk -ido KNAME | grep sd > /tmp/d.txt && while read line ; do hdparm -I /dev/$line 2>/dev/null | grep Model ; done < /tmp/d.txt && rm /tmp/d.txt I'm at work and can't actually test this right now but the following should dump it into a text file: ./model.sh > model.txt Sounds like the smartmon tools would be easier but if you don't want to install software to get the model number, this could be an option.
