August 2, 201015 yr Author Centripetal acceleration and circular motion at work ... Good to know I did well on a "budget build" ... I am unaware of what the average numbers and stats are ... Just set up OpenVPN with DD-WRT (router) to be able to access the data anywhere (business and otherwise) ... used the unraid box for openssl and cert creation (both slackware tarz) ... would people benefit from a tutorial?
August 2, 201015 yr If you have the patience, tutorials are always nice. There are so many different things people want to do with unRAID that there has to be someone else out there who is wanting to do what you did.

August 5, 201015 yr Author Attached is a first quick draft of how to set up OpenVPN with DD-WRT so that you can access your unRAID server from anywhere with an Internet Connection in a secure fashion. I've tried to keep this simple and include every single step-by-step instruction. Please revise or add to the wiki to be edited if this document is well received. Assumptions.zip

August 5, 201015 yr Thanks a lot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But IMHO the title should be changed and the whole thread moved to an appropriate location (perhaps by the moderator). Not sure if everyone reads the hardware forum. Once again thanks a lot.
August 6, 201015 yr Author np ... if you guys run into issues, I should be able to help out I'll just need you to paste some stuff from the ddwrt logs as well as the openvpn logs ddwrt logs: PuTTY into ddwrt router after logging in, you should be in the /tmp/root directory (type "pwd", and press ENTER to confirm) you can then tail the logs: "tail -f ../../var/log/messages", and hit ENTER for a live view as you try to connect or or view the whole logs: "cat ../../var/log/messages", and hit ENTER
