rl2664
Hello everyone,I bought a WD green 120 GB SSD to host a VM and for caching a share. My problem is, the write speed drops after transfering about 5 GB of a 10 GB Transfer from 113 MB/s to around 70 MB/s until the transfer is finished. Because of a small two disk array writing to it is constantly around 113 MB/s. I'm wondering that writing to the cache disk is poorer than writing directly to the array. Is there any setting that I miss or ist the cheap WD green the problem? Btw. There is no difference if I assign the drive as cache or if I mount it with the UD plugins. GreetingsRonny Link to comment
JorgeB
That's probably about right for a small TLC SSD, just make sure it's trimmed, if yes you'll need a better one, a 3D TLC is faster, like the Samsung 850 EVO or Crucial MX500 Link to comment
rl2664
make sure it's trimmed, Using the Dynamix Trim plugin?I think I order a 850 Evo, i can use the WD in another computer. Link to comment
