July 23, 201015 yr What is the "proper" way to do backups of the unRAID flash drive? I certainly don't want to back it up to the array. Currently, I just shutdown the server, unplug the flash and stick it on my computer, copy all contents over, then reverse steps and startup.

Currently, I just shutdown the server, unplug the flash and stick it on my computer, copy all contents over, then reverse steps and startup. Exactly, or, you can just copy the contents of the "config" folder without moving it physically (after stopping the array so it is a clean image) from the \\tower\flash share on the LAN. All you need to back-up is the config folder. (unless you put stuff elsewhere) Joe L.
