Added a drive to the array...is it there or missing?

Featured Replies

I recently added a couple drives to my array.  Everything seems to be going okay with it and it seems that I'm able to add data to it (reads and writes are increasing as I transfer files).  However, the same drive is listed under "Historical Devices" as missing.

I'm not sure what this means.  It's clearly not missing.  Should I be concerned?

The drive IS in the array. I'd simply click the "Remove" hyperlink next to the historical device.

The historical devices lists drives you had mounted in the past that are no longer available to mount as UDs. You could post a suggestion in the UD support forum to improve the smarts and not include disks assigned to the array. But I kind of like how it works. That was a UD you had mounted that it can no longer mount. Accurate and potentially useful if you weren't sure which disk it was you had mounted. Easily removed from the list.
