Elgato screen capture on VM

I was wondering if anyone has ever used an elgato or any other capture device on a VM and if so how did u get the vm to recogogize the card and did you have any issues. Thanks

    Got a friend wanting to do the same and run a vm for his twitch. Any input on this?

    I have not had any luck with this. I can not get legato to forward access to my vm :( I am a sad panda
