(SOLVED) Mellanox ConnectX-2 cards

Featured Replies

Is there a specific model of Mellanox ConnectX-2 cards that is preferable for unRAID for 10 Gbe?  I've seen multiple versions listed and I want to get the correct type.  I intend to do a direct connect between 2 cards.  Is there a specific model for of the 2 port version of the card that works well in case I decide to do this with 2 client PCs?

I use these and they work great:

single port - MNPA19-XTR

dual pot - MNPH29D-XTR

  • 6 months later...

I have two of these 40gbps ones PN 81Y1533 just got the qsfp+ cable for it and using in my 2 unraid boxes....both unraid systems fail to detect the cards

any ideas?

1. start your own thread since it's a different card

2. probably no drivers in the os if you ask me.

its a Mellonox Connect X-2 card with QSFP+ instead of SFP+ same card.....different port. apparently lots of mellonox variants out there

AFAIK Infiniband NICs won't work, though apparently some can be changed to ethernet.
