Docker/VM Bridge

Featured Replies

I am relatively new to Unraid but have a decent knowledge of networking infrastructure.

I currently have dockers up and running with the host/bridge networks and its working perfectly.

What my issue is, when enabling bridging in the network setting page I am not able to see the bridge

network in the vm setup, but all my dockers that defined as a bridge network loose connectivity.

Thought on what could be wrong...

Ok I have made some progress... I think.... I reset the NIC config back to defaults, this turns bonding and bridging on by default.

My vms are not able to ping on the bridged network..... The only thing not working is I have a few Dockers that where setup as

bridge to the local local which are now now working. It looks like I dont have the option to select the same br0 network as the vm's

is this normal ?

I do have a 4 port gb nic that is installed but not being used, do I have to dedicate a nic for the docker specifically ??
