February 6, 20188 yr Author I am now rebuilding the drive. Do you need to do a parity check after the rebuild finishes?

February 6, 20188 yr Author What’s happens if errors are found? What’s the procedure? (I don’t have backups.)Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk The procedure would be to figure out why the rebuild and the parity check disagree, and try to correct it. Possibly the rebuild is incorrect. You really must make a backup plan. Parity is no substitute. There are plenty of ways to lose files without even having any hardware issues. You don't have to have a complete copy of everything, you just have to decide what you can't afford to lose, what you would hate to lose, what you don't want to lose but could recover some way, etc. Set some priorities, and execute your plan.
February 7, 20188 yr Author I finished the rebuild and went to dashboard and saw that it seems that a parity check occurred whilst doing the rebuild and no errors were found. Does this actually mean a parity heck occurred?Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
