mrbilky Posted January 28, 2018 Posted January 28, 2018 When setting up bond0 should the mtu be set to the higher of the 2 network interfaces? Or should I even be doing that I currently have eth0 as mtu 1500 and eth1 and eth2 are set to 9000 my 2 pc's are peer to peer with my unRAID box on 10GB mellanox cards no switch
bonienl Posted January 28, 2018 Posted January 28, 2018 It is recommended to use the same type of connections in a bonded interface. Don't mix 10G and 1G interfaces. When eth1 and eth2 are bond members they will take the settings as set for eth0.
