January 29, 20188 yr Not sure if this is normal but I noticed that when coping a blu ray mkv file, the copy speed to my laptop's external USB 3 drive is really slow. I'm getting 10MB/s. I'm wired into my router. Seems awfully slow. Should I be expecting better?
January 29, 20188 yr Community Expert Are your router, server and laptop 100Mbit or all gigabit? If the later did check the link speed, both on the unRAID server and your laptop.

January 29, 20188 yr Community Expert Yes, 100Mbit ethernet maxes at around 12MB/s, gigabit maxes at around 115MB/s.
