Does the interval work like A or B?

Example, using the default 1800s (30min)

 

A. Executes on everything new in the watch folder, once every 30 minutes

 

B. Executes on one new file in the watch folder, waits 30 minutes, executes on a 2nd new file, continues, until no new files

It would like A.  To be more precise, the AMC script would be executed every 30 minutes.

Hello.

I am sorry for a question which probably is very noob.

I have been running filebot on windows for a  while and now have installed the docker on unraid. I don't want to use the AMC script but just want to run some command line scripts. But when I go into the docker console I can't find a way to execut the filebot command. Can someone point me in the right direction please.

The FileBot binary is located at /opt/filebot/filebot.  It can be used to run your commands.

Thankyou very much. The scripts are working now. If I may, is there a way to copy over the other files from the source folder. I have collected trialers, subtitles etc. I would like all the files to copy over to the new directory.

I'm not sure if Filebot offer a such feature.  I would look on the Filebot's forum, you will probably find better answers.

Thanks for updating to the latest version of FileBot. I'm trying to get the {hdr} to recognize Dolby Vision as that was one of the recent changes, but it's only recognizing normal HDR10 (and internally that is all it shows in Media Info). I believe it uses libmediainfo to pull and process this info, and looking in the usr/lib directory I see libmediainfo.so.0.1808.1 from Dec 2018. I believe this needs to be updated if true as it looks like Dolby Vision MKV support was only added in version 20.09 of libmediainfo if I'm reading the release notes correctly ("MKV: support of Dolby Vision metadata"). Although there are mentions of general Dolby Vision support prior to that as well. Can you update libmediainfo in the docker build to test? Maybe I'm missing some other detail that's preventing this tag from working.

I have an external hard drive which I use connected to my UnRaid server to have Plex saved optimised versions of some of my media to. This means when I am travelling I have movies/tv shows I can watch when off-line.

 

I am trying to set up Filebot to clean up the files and organise them for me and wanted to use hardlinks so that Plex can still see the files when the hard drive is connected. 

 

At the moment I have the external drive connected as an unassigned disk and then pass it through to docker as /storage

I have then changed the Automated Media Center: Input Directory & Automated Media Center: Output Directory settings to:

 

/storage/.plex-sync/Media

/storage/Media

 

I was originally passing through the paths to /watch and /output but Docker was treating them as seperate volumes so it wasn't working. I am however getting this issue now:

 

[amc] [HARDLINK] from [/storage/.plex-sync/Media/movies/Zog and the Flying Doctors (2020).514337.eng.srt] to [/storage/Media/Movies/Zog and the Flying Doctors (2021)/Zog and the Flying Doctors (2021).eng.srt] failed due to I/O error [/storage/Media/Movies/Zog and the Flying Doctors (2021)/Zog and the Flying Doctors (2021).eng.srt -> /storage/.plex-sync/Media/movies/Zog and the Flying Doctors (2020).514337.eng.srt: Function not implemented]

 

It is failing due to 'Function not implemented' I have checked my 'Global Share Settings' and 'Tunable (support Hard Links):' is enabled. 

 

Any other ideas?

Ok next problem! Got everything working but AMC doesn't seem to invoke itself on the set interval. 

 

I have tried changing the interval from 1800 to 60 and it doesn't do anything. It invokes and work when I start the docker but never invokes itself again.

Did you look at the container's log to see what is happening ?

Sorry I should have shared. Looked in there and can't see errors or anything in there that might point to it. Below is the log. Interval is set to 60 seconds. AMC never invokes again until I restart the docker.

Have you tried the x11vnc '-ncache' VNC client-side pixel caching feature yet?

The scheme stores pixel data offscreen on the VNC viewer side for faster
retrieval. It should work with any VNC viewer. Try it by running:

x11vnc -ncache 10 ...

One can also add -ncache_cr for smooth 'copyrect' window motion.

Are you doing any change to the input folder?  The AMC script won't be invoked if no change is detected in the output folder.

Yep, plex is currently transcoding a number of different things and saving them in to the input folder. 

 

Current structure on the drive. 

 

/storage/.plex-sync/media/movies/.inProgress <- Folder where transcoded files are saved during transcoding

/storage/.plex-sync/media/movies/ <- Folder where files are saved post transcode

/storage/Media <- Folder I am asking Filebot to hard link the files to

 

/watch & /output are not set. 

 

Automated Media Center: Input Directory is set to /storage/.plex-sync/Media

Automated Media Center: Output Directory is set to /storage/Media

 

Just a thought, the .inProgress folder is in constant flux, could that cause AMC to not invoke?

I assume the input folder is /external-drive/.plex-sync/media/movies/ ?  Changes to the hidden folder .inProgress won't trigger the AMC script.  However, once the file is moved to /external-drive/.plex-sync/media/movies/, the AMC script should be triggered within a minute.

I assume the input folder is /external-drive/.plex-sync/media/movies/ ?  Changes to the hidden folder .inProgress won't trigger the AMC script.  However, once the file is moved to /external-drive/.plex-sync/media/movies/, the AMC script should be triggered within a minute.

 

 

When files are moved it isn't being triggered. When I restarted the docker this morning there was around 30 files ready to be transferred. 

 

Is there any way to get a more verbose log?

There is no more log in this area...  To get a complet picture of the container environment, maybe you can share the output of "docker inspect FileBot"?

Ok, the problem is caused by ".plex-sync".  When checking for changes in the folder, the whole folder is ignored because of this hidden folder.  As a quick fix, renaming ".plex-sync" to "plex-sync" should work.

Ah right. I originally had it pointed directly at .plex-sync and AMC wasn't working at all (not even for the first scan). I moved it to .plex-sync/Media and the first scan started to work so figured that would solve the issue.
