Do you leave the server on when you have to leave?  How do you care that nothing happens for that time.

    My Servers are on 24-7 but I do spin the HD's down after a period of inactivity.  Having said that I do shut them down if I am going to be out of town more than a day or two.  Idle power for each server is about 45W.

    You'll probably find most users on here leaves their servers on due to dockers, vms etc.
