Disk1 & Parity drive do not spin down?

Featured Replies

I have noticed that all of my HD's will spin down except for my Parity and Disk 1.  Is this normal?  I have all my drives set to use the default and the default is set to 15 min.

I am new to Unraid and I did a quick search and did not find any results.  Thanks.

Do you have a cache drive?  Do you run docker applications?

Thanks for quick reply.  No I do not have a Cache drive.  I do run PLEX and PLEXPY docker applications.  Let me guess they are on Disk 1 and while they are running that drive will never spin down right?  Now that you say that it makes perfect sense for Disk 1 how about the paridy drive?

Thanks,

Rheal.

Any docker application running will more than likely have writes happening which means that the parity drive will never spin down.

That makes total sense.  Thank you for the prompt reply and explanation.   Now that you say that and I think about it makes perfect sense.
