JimBob Posted February 13, 2018 Author Share Posted February 13, 2018 Disk5 is still part of the array, as a fresh data disk (I formatted it once the data was restored form it to my other spare disk).The BTRFS restore was done to a specific disk (disk7), my "old" parity2 drive after taking it from parity2 slot and placing it as data disk 7. JorgeB Posted February 13, 2018 Share Posted February 13, 2018 OK, I think I understand, so to remove the now empty disk5 from the array you have 2 options: -easier way but array will be unprotected until parity sync finishes: new config, unassign disk5 and assign it as parity2, start array to begin parity sync on both parity disks. -a little more work but array will remain protected: clear disk5, new config, unassign disk5, trust parity and start the array, stop array, add old disk5 as parity2, start array to begin parity2 sync.
